Ontario Youth Apprentice Program (OYAP)

An OYAP student is an individual who is earning coop credits through their workplace
educational experience in an apprenticeship occupation. Students who are in OYAP are required to
be at least 16 years of age, have 16 successfully completed credits towards their secondary school
diploma, be enrolled as a full time student, and be working towards the completion of all the
successful components of the Ontario Secondary School Diploma.

Students interested in participating in OYAP must follow all of GFESS’s application process
for enrollment. Furthermore, all other requirements of the Co-Op program must be met, such as
having previously earned a secondary school credit in a related course or be actively working towards
the related courses completion. Interested students are asked to speak to Mr. Connor or Mrs. Mackenzie.
